They have a special anti machine spell, plus shamans to entangle them, and serpents/horned gods that deal shock damage. Plus machines are immune to all their curses) against them. * So do NOT play a Theocrat (relies on holy damage) or a Necromancer (relies on blight and some spirit damage, as well as cold. They're vulnerable against shock damage, but invulnerable against spirit/holy and poison/blight attacks. * But machines are not vulnerable to physical attacks. hit them in the face and they won't get up, unless they get lucky. * Halflings are vulnerable to physical damage. Halflings like fertile grasslands, they hate. So if he's winning he gets luckier.) and most of all fight in terrain they hate. * To drop morale, use spells, win battles (Winning battles = +Morale for you, -Morale for the enemy. But if their morale drops to under 0, luck has a 0% chance of working. If the halfings have max morale, there's a 25% chance ANY attack will fail. You can decimate a garrison with a stack of spy drones, by just rushing the walls and letting the defenders kill them. On a completely unrelated note, Dreadnaughts suicide rushes with spy drones are hilariously op. I'd say that the Late-game Sorc is a counter to the Late-game Warlord, but needs to be careful of the Dreadnought or Arch Druid. Most heroes also have a Arcane damage reduction buff, so you also have to contend with that. Even with the Horror, a few calvary can bring it down with ease. Some heroes bring some heavy resists to the table. Enemy abilities at that point can wipe out units in one hit. One thing that I did notice with the Sorc, is that you CANT just rely on Chaos Rift + Cheap units. So? The other problem with the Sorc is that the durability of it's units are lacking, and it can only make one super unit a round.
